A big part of our August sermon series THE BIG GIVE was our
"Serve Day". On August 16th 2008 we assembled over 100 people from our church young and old to serve our community. It is our heart to follow Jesus' example that is set out for us in Matthew 20:28

             "Just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve,
                   and give his life as a ransom for many."

Together our team was able to...
1. Pass out 75 blessing bags to the homeless.
2. Visit and encourage 250 residence at 2 nursing homes.
3. Work to clean up 2 yards for people with physical limitations.
4. Distribute "thank you" gift baskets to our police departments, fire
    departments and emergency rooms.
5. Team up with the Gospel Misson in thier "Backpack Giveaway" outreach.
6. Wash cars for free.
7. Clean up at the H street outreach center.
